We had another beautiful flight over Tarangire with smooth winds guiding us over the hills toward Sopa Lodge, where a gentle low-level turn transitioned into a graceful climb toward the river; although the sky was overcast and we missed the sunrise, the journey was peaceful and full of wonder, ending with a soft landing near the breakfast site. Guests were thrilled by the abundance of wildlife, spotting elephants, impala, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, warthogs, monkeys, vultures, jackals, two buffalo near Sopa, and a large herd just before SBS camp. The reactions were heartwarming, with many describing the flight as unforgettable and a highlight of their safari.

Our balloon flight today in Tarangire was truly heartwarming, beginning with calm winds and a gentle takeoff toward Elephant Rock. The morning unfolded beautifully with abundant wildlife sightings warthogs, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and elephants greeted us early on. As we floated higher, we encountered impressive numbers of cape elands, impalas, ostriches, a solitary male giraffe, and a lone bull elephant, each adding to the magic of the journey. The panoramic 360-degree views were breathtaking, and we landed softly in an upright position, much to the delight of our guests. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience with Serengeti Balloon Safaris, especially the warm and well-organized bush breakfast that followed.

This morning’s balloon safari in Tarangire began with an active takeoff just after sunrise, as clouds blanketed the skies. Despite strong winds reaching up to 29 knots, we enjoyed a low-altitude flight that brought us remarkably close to wildlife elephants, zebras, and giraffes were spotted just beyond the basket, along with elands, impalas, ostriches, and Coke’s hartebeest. The flight over the Tarangire River offered stunning views before the wind guided us gently toward Tarangire Hill, where we made a soft drag landing. We had a magnificent flight over Tarangire just before sunrise, gently drifting toward the iconic Elephant Rock. The lower altitude was smoky due to a nearby fire at the launch site, prompting us to ascend for clearer skies and breathtaking panoramic views an adjustment that thrilled all our guests. Wildlife sightings were abundant. We spotted large herds of buffaloes, elephants, elands, giraffes, and impalas. A special moment was flying directly over an ostrich nest, where we observed several healthy eggs. Our landing was smooth and upright near the Ndovu signboard, marking a graceful end to an unforgettable journey. We lifted off at sunrise over Tarangire, drifting gently toward Silale Swamp before climbing to 1800 feet AGL. A slow but scenic path led us toward Sopa Lodge, offering breathtaking panoramic views that our guests adored. Descending near Sopa, we spotted zebras, impalas, elands, wildebeest, hyenas, secretary birds, and vultures wildlife at its finest. We touched down softly near Pure Tented Camp, upright and smooth. Our balloon flight in Tarangire began with a smooth takeoff under a golden sunrise. Winds were tricky, guiding us low to the east and southeast at 1500 feet MGL. We floated for 71 peaceful minutes before landing gently between the river and the new camp an intimate, bushy spot made perfect by calm winds. Wildlife sightings included elephants, zebras, jackals, impalas, giraffes, and a rare Janet cat. Guests were thrilled by the adventure and the serene landing, making it another unforgettable morning with Serengeti Balloon Safaris.

Shortly after takeoff, guests were treated to sightings of a male lesser kudu, elands, and zebras.
