"Wonderful experience at sunrise over the Serengeti"

The balloons are for 16 people with divided baskets. I've never ridden in a balloon before and it was amazing. So quiet with all around visibility. The captain was very good in explaining everything and we had a great time. The champagne toast at the end and breakfast afterwards was an experience to remember.

"serengeti sunrise"

This was a great experience that was an add on to our safari w adventure women. We were transported from our camp to the launch site , watched the balloons being inflated, given a safety briefing and helped into our 12 person basket. What a wonderful view of the Serengeti and a different view of the animals. I felt totally safe and the pilot told us about his experience going to CA to train as a balloon operator.

"Balloon Safari Spectacular!"

Our recent 7-day safari included an early morning balloon safari with Serengeti Balloon. This experience, though not inexpensive, was money well spent and one I recommend without hesitation. We were picked up by the shuttle well before dawn and taken to the launch site. Once assigned to a balloon, we were given safety instructions and helper into the balloon basket. Our group of 18 experienced a flawless launch and floated over the Serengeti for approximately one hour. The sunrise was gorgeous and we saw various animals. Our pilot skimmed treetops and took us close to the ground for animal spotting. Upon landing, our group had a champagne toast followed by a breakfast fit for a king. This experience, arranged for us by our safari outfitter Shadows of Africa, was an unforgettable addition to an unforgettable adventure in Tanzania!

"Dream of a lifetime that did not disappoint"

The Serengeti is a mind blowing place and the balloon flight we made was the pinnacle of our trip. Our pilot Mohammed made the experience one to treasure, skimming across tree tops we were able to see animals from a different viewpoint than we had already from the ground. The champagne breakfast and historic stories after the flight topped off this amazing morning.

"Amazing scenery"

We loved our balloon safari over the southern Serengeti. We were picked up from our accommodation in Ndutu and arrived at the site before sunrise. Takeoff at sunrise and views from the balloon were spectacular. We saw a lot of wildlife but the highlight was watching the migration from the balloon. Our flight went for over an hour so we were very happy.

"Magical view of the great migration from the serenity of a balloon"

This was truly the experience of a lifetime. Watching the great migration on the ground was thrilling enough, but to view the migrating heards as well as giraffes, elephants, and other animals while suspended above them in silence was truly special. Our pilot was clearly exceptionally experienced and was able to rotate the balloon, and change altitudes so that each person had a perfect view. At the end, we were served a full English breakfast along with endless champagne. I would highly recommend this experience - not to be missed.

"A memorable experience"

As others have mentioned, it is pricey, but when in your life are you going to have another chance to experience an early morning adventure where you can watch the sun rise over the Serengeti, have a peaceful sail over the prairie observing zebras and hippos from above, and then have champagne and a bountiful breakfast in the plains! Truly an experience that will be memorable.

"A Must Do!"

The cost is well worth the experience! A top notch operation with experienced pilots provide a view of the Serengeti you will never get from the ground. We got so close to the the Cape Buffalos and Hippos you could smell them! The champagne breakfast post flight was scrumptious to toast our Tanzania experience.
