"great first time experience"

Shawn Glover, our pilot, immediately gave me confidence that he knew what he was doing and we would be safe. He was masterful in his piloting skills and very personable. We saw quite a few animals and he turned the basket around so that everyone had their chance to see. Another pilot, who gave the champagne toast and told the history of hot air ballooning, held the attention of both adults and children and had us spellbound. The breakfast was tasty and well presented. It is expensive but I would highly recommend it.

"Breathtaking!"

There are benefits to getting up at 4 in the morning ....and that is to rise with the sun, float across the Serengeti, and experience the land from above. We had the perfect morning — clear skies, a gentle breeze and a fantastic pilot, Captain Johnny.....we were fully briefed, made comfortable and intrigued by his dialogue about the land and ballooning. All followed by a champagne toast (and now we know the significance of drinking champagne after your flight lands) and breakfast overlooking the Mara River....just perfect! Thank you Johnny....see you in Bagan!

"Serengeti sunrise glory"

Despite the 4am wake up call, 1.5 hour drive on very up-down roads, the experience was worth every bit. Professional staff, more than skilled pilot and a wonderful flight over the Serengeti. All staff were interactive. Excellent breakfast on the banks of the Mara river with wilde beest grazing in the background. The only operator to use!

"Brilliant experience"

I would highly recommend a hot air balloon ride as part of your safari as it is an experience like no other. It was highly enjoyable throughout. All the staff were very professional and knowledgeable about the wildlife of the Serengeti. Our driver, Freddie, even spotted our first sighting of a lion. The balloon ride was smooth and serene - not at all like what I had imagined. The champagne toast and breakfast that followed was a lovely end to a memorable experience.

"What an experience!"

Such a great experience, worth the money if its the kind of thing you would enjoy! The pilot was great, unfortunately I cannot remember his name but he was Portuguese. Being in the balloon is so surreal and the breakfast afterwards topped it off and set us up for the day nicely, I got some great photos but wouldn't want to ruin the experience. We even saw some lions roaming in the dark on the transfer there!

"Wonderful and not as scary as I thought it would be - Terrific Operation"

What a terrific way to spend my birthday! This was my first hot air balloon ride and I loved it. Operation is very well run and our Pilot Frank was terrific! They picked us up very early from our camp and it was still dark when we arrived at the launch site where the balloons were being set up. We took off around sunrise with about 16 passengers per balloon. We all commented on how smooth the ride was, especially after several days of game drives. The hour flight went very fast and the landing was pretty good (a bit exciting as your starting and ending positions are withe the balloon basket on its side (load in like the astronauts on your back). We had a traditional champagne toast and then a wonderful full English breakfast on the Savannah. Loved it!

"Fantastic Experience - Treetop Leopard"

Great fun, great and unique views - how else would you be close to a Leopard that's at the top of a tree, looking down on him as he looks up at you? Our Pilot - Johnny did a superb job of keeping us high enough to see a good area, but low enough to see the detail.

"Unbelievable experience"

We rode with Captain Jonathon Smith and he was an amazing pilot. It is so special to glide over the serengeti and see all this expanse from the air above. This is a great experience and one that should not be missed. The full English breakfast with champagne was also amazing. Kudos to the chefs.
