A Magnificent Morning Over the Central Serengeti. Today's balloon safari over the Central Serengeti offered guests stunning panoramic views and remarkable wildlife encounters. Under mostly clear skies and calm winds, all four balloons lifted off gently from Kati Kati towards Naabi Hippo Pool, enjoying impressive scenery from various altitudes. Wildlife highlights included a family of lions spotted from one balloon, alongside sightings of hippos, Cape buffalo, giraffes, a cheetah, Topi, hartebeest, hyenas, zebras, gazelles, and dik-diks from the other balloons. The flight concluded with smooth, upright landings beyond Marion's Plain, followed by our traditional champagne toast and an exceptional bush breakfast at Middle Road before guests rejoined their safari guides. Another memorable morning exploring the diverse wildlife and scenic landscapes of the Central Serengeti from above.

An Extraordinary Morning Along the Grumeti River. Today's balloon safari over the Western Serengeti offered guests breathtaking views and exceptional wildlife encounters across the lush green plains north of the Grumeti River. Taking off just before sunrise, guests enjoyed sightings of hippos, Nile crocodiles, black-and-white colobus monkeys, elephants, giraffes, Cape buffalo, lions, hyenas, impalas, Topi, hartebeest, warthogs, elands, jackals, baboons, vervet monkeys, and Grant's and Thomson's gazelles. Large migration herds of wildebeest and zebras stretching across the plains provided a magnificent sight. Following a smooth stand-up landing at the river bend and our traditional champagne toast, the morning took an exciting turn as guests witnessed lions and hyenas competing over a buffalo kill. So captivated by the encounter, guests chose to skip breakfast and spend more time observing the action before returning to their camp. A truly remarkable morning experiencing the untamed wildlife of the Western Serengeti.

Under clear skies, guests enjoyed sightings of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, zebras, Cape buffalo, Topi, Thomson's gazelles, and warthogs around the Oxbow, with fish eagles spotted near the palm tree bend. Further highlights included impalas, waterbucks, elands, and black-backed jackals, alongside giraffes and a lone elephant near the airstrip. A notable sight was the movement of wildebeest back into the short-grass plains following recent rains, with zebras also scattered across the landscape. The flight concluded with smooth landings, followed by our traditional champagne toast and a delicious SBS bush breakfast before guests rejoined their safari guides. Under calm flying conditions, guests took off before sunrise and floated towards the Makoma 2 Hills, enjoying sightings of thousands of Thomson's and Grant's gazelles, zebras, hartebeest, topi, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and silver-backed jackals. A notable highlight was spotting a black-backed jackal feeding on a kill, alongside sightings of African hares, ostriches, tawny eagles, and various other bird species. Climbing higher above the river, the flight revealed spectacular 360-degree views of Ruaha's wilderness before descending to float low over the iconic baobab trees, with further sightings of giraffes, reedbuck, and impalas.
