This morning’s flight lifted off just before sunrise, with the sky still wrapped in soft twilight. Within minutes, the sun rose gently behind us, casting golden reflections across our path a breathtaking welcome to the day. As we climbed to nearly 1600 feet above the ground, the balloon caught a graceful wind that carried us toward the river. Below, the Serengeti came alive: a sweeping herd of cape elands, zebras trotting in formation, giraffes gliding through acacia groves, and impalas leaping with ease. Ostriches darted across the plains, cape buffaloes stood proud, and a vast wave of wildebeest moved beneath us like a living tide. Our landing was smooth and upright, a soft touch that left guests smiling and speechless.
