Our balloon flight over Ndutu today was simply magical. We lifted off before sunrise, gliding over the Golini plains where the migration stretched endlessly. As dawn broke behind the mountains, we descended to greet a tower of giraffes and a small herd of buffalo in the riverbed. Crossing into the forest, we spotted impala, more giraffes, and waves of wildebeest. The Kusini plains revealed a lone cheetah, while hyenas lingered nearby. From zebras and gazelles to ostriches, storks, and even flamingos, the morning was alive with wildlife. We ended with a spirited drag across the plains, sipping a post‑flight drink while watching the wildebeest—an unforgettable Serengeti Balloon Safari.

Our balloon flight in Ndutu saw a slightly breezy but gentle take‑off, with passengers immediately delighted by wildebeest, zebras, and both Grants and Thompson’s gazelles around us. Crossing from plains to forest, we admired our first tower of giraffes, impala, and a riverbed filled with a great gathering of wildebeest, all set against the rising sun behind the mountains. As we drifted towards the Kusini plains, we encountered a pride of lions along the korongo, followed by four cheetahs—a mother with two cubs and a lone male. Near landing, a honey badger appeared close to the cheetah, adding to the morning’s excitement. On the way to breakfast, we passed the female cheetah and her cubs enjoying theirs. Animal highlights included zebra, wildebeest, gazelles, giraffes, impala, eland, lions, cheetahs, wild cat, jackal, ostrich, hyena, tawny and martial eagles, honey badger, dik‑dik, marabou stork, and flamingos. It was a truly magical morning with Serengeti Balloon Safaris.

Our balloon flight in Ndutu saw a calm and gentle launch just before sunrise. As we rose, the plains came alive with wildebeest, zebras, and Thompson’s gazelles, while the sun slowly revealed itself behind Mount Lolmalasin. We drifted over the woodland to find three giraffes enjoying breakfast, alongside impala and a handful of Cape buffalo moving through the trees. At Ndutu beach, marabou storks searched among scattered bones, and flamingoes shimmered in the distance a sight that delighted everyone. Further along, a lone male lion appeared from medium altitude, with more giraffes completing the morning’s wonders. It was a serene and unforgettable flight, filled with the magic of the Serengeti.

Our balloon flight in Ndutu was nothing short of magical. From the moment we lifted off, we were greeted by herds of wildebeest, zebra, Grants and Thompson gazelles spread across the plains. As we drifted towards Lake Ndutu, a tower of giraffes welcomed us, and soon after, the flamingos treated us to a breathtaking aerial display over the water. Crossing the forest, we spotted impala, more giraffes, and even a lone honey badger, while two martial eagles seemed deep in animated conversation. The Maswa plains surprised us with yet another pair of honey badgers three in one flight! On our way to breakfast, we passed a cheetah enjoying its meal and later found lions basking in the sun after theirs. It was a morning filled with wonder animal highlights included zebra, wildebeest, gazelles, giraffes, impala, cheetah, lions, jackal, mongoose, hyena, eagles, honey badgers, dik-dik, marabou stork, and flamingos. Our balloon flight today in Ndutu was truly magical. We lifted off gently at sunrise and drifted over the plains, where herds of wildebeest, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, and zebras welcomed the morning light. As the sun broke through the clouds, we turned towards the woodlands and Lake Ndutu, spotting giraffes, dik-diks, flamingoes, and impalas along the way. Crossing the marsh, we were delighted to see lions in the distance, and just before landing, a cheetah appeared. Moments after our smooth stand‑up landing, she made a successful hunt and carried her catch back to her cubs. Following our post‑flight celebration, we were fortunate to witness her feeding all four cubs—a truly heartwarming sight to begin the new year.

Our balloon flight today in Ndutu was simply lovely. We lifted off just as the sun was rising, with guests immediately treated to the sight of wildebeest, zebras, Grant’s gazelles, and Thompson’s gazelles right before them. Flying low over the migration, we then climbed and turned towards the forest, where our first tower of giraffes appeared. Over the forest, guests enjoyed more migration herds, additional towers of giraffes, and several groups of impalas. Crossing the marshes towards the plains of Kusini, we followed the korongo with more migration along its banks. Just before landing, we ascended briefly and descended near a cheetah. The flight concluded with a smooth drag stand-up landing on the plains, surrounded by the migration. On the way to breakfast, guests were delighted to see the same cheetah enjoying its own breakfast of a Thompson’s gazelle. Animal Highlights: Zebra, Wildebeest, Thompson’s Gazelle, Grant’s Gazelle, Vulture, Giraffe, Impala, Cheetah, Jackal, Bat-Eared Fox, Hyena, Tawny Eagle, Marabou Stork, and Flamingo. After a slightly breezy drag take-off, passengers stood to witness the migration right in front of them herds of wildebeest, zebras, Grant’s gazelles, and Thompson’s gazelles. Flying low over the plains, we then climbed and turned towards the forest, where a male and female lion were spotted among the trees. As we continued, guests enjoyed views of more migration, towers of giraffes, and several groups of impalas. Crossing the marshes towards the plains of Kusini, we followed the korongo and were treated to the sight of a pride of female lions with one juvenile male resting along its banks. The flight concluded with a smooth drag stand-up landing on the plains, surrounded by the migration, before guests enjoyed a delightful breakfast. Our balloon flight in Ndutu today saw perfect flying conditions with scattered clouds over the woodlands. Two balloons lifted together, and guests were soon delighted by sightings of wildebeest, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, and hyenas. The journey continued with wonderful views of ostriches, warthogs, secretary birds, elands, vultures, giraffes, and elephants. Panoramic scenery south of the Big Marsh offered breathtaking vistas, and guests enjoyed sweeping 360‑degree views. Crossing the valley, we flew low over a large herd of wildebeest with newborn calves a truly special highlight. Our balloon flight in Ndutu today saw a delayed start after early thunderstorms, but once airborne guests enjoyed a truly lovely journey, gliding through the morning cloud cover. Wildlife sightings were excellent: wildebeest, zebras, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, and giraffes before the forest. Over the woodlands, we spotted migrating herds including eland, and later flew low across the plains where a fresh wildebeest kill was being fed on by a hyena and several vultures. Additional highlights included reedbuck, flamingos, a martial eagle, and marabou storks. The flight concluded with a smooth, gentle landing in Kusini, followed by breakfast.
