Our balloon flight today over Ndutu was simply lovely. Mist and fog patches covered the region as we climbed high over the Golini plains, spotting wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles moving through the haze. Descending over the forest near Ndutu, we enjoyed sightings of giraffes and elephants, along with eland, impala, and more of the great migration. As we continued towards Hidden Valley, the plains were alive with pockets of migrating herds, thickening as we approached. All balloons made smooth landings at the start of Hidden Valley, where guests watched the migration on the move and toasted the flight. Animal highlights included zebra, wildebeest, Thompson and Grant’s gazelles, giraffes, eland, impala, tawny eagles, secretary birds, rollers, bustards, flamingos, storks, and even dik-dik and steinbuck. It was a heartwarming morning enjoyed by all with Serengeti Balloon Safaris.
