Along the way, we were treated to wonderful game sightings wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, hyena, elephants, and the largest herd of Topi I have ever seen. The journey ended with a smooth drag and gentle tip‑over landing, followed by a perfect breakfast that brought joy to all. It was a truly memorable morning, and every guest seemed to treasure the experience.

Our flight today in Kirawira saw breathtaking skies and gentle winds guiding us toward the Grumeti River. Along the way, we delighted in sightings of deffassa waterbucks, crocodiles, hippos, olive baboons, vultures, kingfishers, marabou storks, black‑faced vervet monkeys, and drongos. The plains offered more wonders with zebras, impalas, buffaloes, dik diks, and hyenas in good numbers. The scenery was truly panoramic lush and green everywhere leading us to a graceful landing at a river bend. Guests were overjoyed, savoring every moment of this unforgettable Serengeti Balloon Safari.

We were greeted by clear skies and gentle winds at the Kirawira launch site, setting the stage for a smooth and graceful ascent. The winds carried us over the Grumeti River, offering breathtaking views as we drifted north, later rising high to remain on the southern side of the river. Along the way, the Serengeti revealed its treasures: majestic elephants, waterbuck, topi, Thompson’s gazelles, zebras, giraffes, guinea fowl, swallows, and even the quick dart of an African hare. Each sighting added to the magic of the morning. Our journey concluded with a soft landing and a delicious bush breakfast, where guests shared smiles and stories. A beautiful morning greeted us at the Kirawira Launch site with clear skies and gentle, variable winds. Our balloon lifted smoothly into the air, drifting gracefully over the Grumeti River. As the winds shifted north, we ascended to higher altitudes to remain on the southern side of the river, offering guests stunning panoramic views. Wildlife sightings were abundant and magical Waterbuck, Topi, Thompson Gazelle, Zebra, Giraffe, Guinea Fowl, and even the elusive African Hare graced our flight path. The serenity of the skies and the richness of the landscape made for an unforgettable journey. After landing, guests were treated to a delicious bush breakfast in a picturesque setting. This morning’s flight in Kirawira began under clear skies and gentle winds, with one balloon rising gracefully just in time for a breathtaking sunrise. We floated peacefully over the plains toward the Grumeti River, following its winding path for the entire flight before crossing into open grasslands for a smooth stand-up landing near our breakfast site. Wildlife sightings were abundant and magical gazelles, waterbuck, topi, hippos in and out of the water, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Guests also spotted impalas, Cape buffalo, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, baboons, vervet monkeys, colobus monkeys, a civet cat, and a majestic male lion surveying the plains. After landing, guests were welcomed with a celebratory champagne toast and treated to our signature SBS bush breakfast, served with warmth and care. It was a morning filled with beauty, serenity, and unforgettable moments in the heart of the Serengeti.

Sunrise Safari Over Kirawira This morning’s flight was nothing short of magical. With clear skies and gentle winds, our balloon rose gracefully just in time to greet the sunrise. We drifted peacefully over the golden plains, tracing the winding path of the Grumeti River nearly the entire journey. Wildlife sightings were abundant and awe-inspiring gazelles, waterbuck, topi, hippos, crocodiles, impalas, buffalo, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, baboons, vervet monkeys, and even a lion in pursuit of wildebeest. We ended with smooth stand-up landings near breakfast, hearts full and spirits lifted by the beauty of the Serengeti.

We flew low over the water before ascending to take in sweeping views to the west, then descended for a gentle tip-over landing on the far end of the breakfast plain. Wildlife sightings were plentiful baboon, giraffe, hyena, wildebeest, topi, waterbuck, impala, buffalo, hippo, and Thompson’s gazelle added to the magic of the flight.
