We arrived to clear skies and gusty winds at the old border launch site. The single balloon launched smoothly and uneventfully. Winds carried us west towards the Main Road before turning south after passing west of the Main Road where we had a smooth, uneventful, tipover landing along the main road. We had sightings of Lions, WaterbuckWildebeest, Thompson Gazelle, Giraffe, Topi, Zebra, Vultures, Hyena, Elephants, Eagles, Guinea Fowl, Blue Heron, and African Hare. Guests were served a delicious breakfast at our usual breakfast spot. All guests were complimentary of the flight, breakfast, service and were thrilled to be flying with SBS on this beautiful day full of sightings

We lifted off just before dawn beneath clear skies and gentle winds, drifting gracefully over the golden plains and winding Seronera River. The morning came alive with incredible wildlife sightings hippos, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, zebras, and more. From soaring ostriches to playful jackals, nature put on a spectacular show. After smooth stand-up landings, guests were all smiles, savoring a hearty bush breakfast at Middle Road. A truly magical start to the day memories made, hearts full.

We had a truly memorable flight this morning over the central Serengeti. With clear skies and gentle winds, four balloons lifted off in perfect time to greet a stunning sunrise. Our journey took us across the plains toward the Seronera River, with two balloons gliding over Valley 16 and Mukoma 6, while the others followed the river’s path to Water-pump. Guests enjoyed a mix of high-altitude panoramas and low-level wildlife encounters. Sightings were plentiful and diverse: hippos in and out of water, reedbuck, impalas, hartebeest, warthogs, hyenas, buffaloes, ostrich, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, topi, and a large number of elephants. Birdlife added vibrant color and movement throughout the flight. All balloons made smooth landings, and guest feedback was overwhelmingly positive. It was a peaceful and enriching morning, an experience that truly showcases the magic of ballooning over the Serengeti.

This morning began with a breathtaking sunrise and smooth balloon launches under clear skies. Just as we lifted off, three elephants emerged from the trees a magical welcome to the skies. We floated gently along the Mara River, where hippos, crocodiles, Sacred Ibis, and Marabou storks shared the waters. Vultures circled above wildebeest remains, a powerful reminder of nature’s rhythm. The Oxbow was alive with gazelles, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and impalas. Across the plains, scattered herds of zebra and wildebeest led us to a serene sight near Sayari: three lions—one male and two females resting in the morning light. Along Mara Mara Road, we spotted eland, impala, buffalo, a lone giraffe, and elephants at Machochwe. After smooth landings, guests celebrated with the traditional champagne toast and a beautifully prepared SBS bush breakfast. Spirits were high as they rejoined their guides, carrying memories of a truly special morning above the wild.

As dawn painted the sky in golden hues, our balloon gently lifted off, gliding along the river where hippos stirred in the morning light. Drifting westward, we were graced with sightings of elephants, giraffes, impalas, zebras, Grant’s gazelles, and a chorus of birds welcoming the day. Suspended in silence, with no other balloons above and no vehicles below, guests embraced the rare serenity of the wild from above. After a smooth landing near the track, we gathered for the traditional champagne toast and shared the enchanting tale of ballooning’s origins. Breakfast was served with a view elephants crossing the riverbed and Saddlebill storks wading nearby. Guests praised the impeccable service from SBS, making this morning not just a journey, but a memory to treasure.

From sweeping aerial views to gentle descents, the flight offered unforgettable perspectives of the landscape below. Wildlife was abundant hippos lounging in and out of water, reedbuck, impalas, hartebeest, warthogs, hyenas, buffaloes, ostrich, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, topi, and a majestic parade of elephants. Birdlife added a melodic touch to the morning air. Smooth landings capped off a serene and soul-stirring journey. Another magical day above the Serengeti.

Three elephants greeted us at launch, and we floated along the Mara River spotting hippos, crocodiles, Sacred Ibis, vultures, and Marabou storks. The Oxbow and surrounding plains were alive with gazelles, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, impalas, and scattered herds stretching to the main road. Near Sayari, guests enjoyed a rare sighting of three lions. Further along, we spotted eland, giraffe, buffalo, and more elephants. After gentle landings, guests celebrated with a champagne toast and a high-standard SBS bush breakfast before rejoining their safari guides happy and fulfilled.

Under soft morning clouds and a whisper of wind, our balloons lifted gently into the Serengeti sky. The plains came alive beneath us elephants, giraffes, waterbuck, impala, topi, and endless waves of wildebeest and zebra. A remarkable sighting of hyenas on a fresh kill added to the thrill. After a serene flight, we touched down smoothly by the river, with smiles all around. A truly unforgettable journey.

This morning in Seronera, four balloons rose gently with the sunrise, drifting gracefully toward Sixteen Valley. The flight offered breathtaking views and unforgettable wildlife encounters Thomson’s gazelles, hyenas, two male lions, and a cheetah mother with her cubs chasing reedbucks. We also spotted a lone giraffe and another cheetah near River Triangle, along with elephants, hippos, bushbucks, dik-diks, impalas, secretary birds, Egyptian geese, vervet monkeys, and olive baboons. After a few gentle ups and downs, we landed softly near the middle road. It was a beautiful morning in the Serengeti, and every guest left with a heart full of joy.
