Our balloon flight in Tarangire began with a smooth takeoff under a golden sunrise. Winds were tricky, guiding us low to the east and southeast at 1500 feet MGL. We floated for 71 peaceful minutes before landing gently between the river and the new camp an intimate, bushy spot made perfect by calm winds. Wildlife sightings included elephants, zebras, jackals, impalas, giraffes, and a rare Janet cat. Guests were thrilled by the adventure and the serene landing, making it another unforgettable morning with Serengeti Balloon Safaris.

Our flight in Tarangire began with a stunning sunrise, drifting gracefully along the landscape with excellent steerage. Shortly after takeoff, guests were treated to sightings of a male lesser kudu, elands, and zebras. We ascended for panoramic views before descending near Sopa Lodge, where the wildlife continued to impress giraffes, impalas, dik-diks, cape buffaloes, a vulture’s nest, ostriches, and tawny eagles all made appearances. A soft, upright landing near Ndove Junction marked the end of a serene journey. This morning’s flight lifted off just before sunrise, with the sky still wrapped in soft twilight. Within minutes, the sun rose gently behind us, casting golden reflections across our path a breathtaking welcome to the day. As we climbed to nearly 1600 feet above the ground, the balloon caught a graceful wind that carried us toward the river. Below, the Serengeti came alive: a sweeping herd of cape elands, zebras trotting in formation, giraffes gliding through acacia groves, and impalas leaping with ease. Ostriches darted across the plains, cape buffaloes stood proud, and a vast wave of wildebeest moved beneath us like a living tide. Our landing was smooth and upright, a soft touch that left guests smiling and speechless. Below us, the plains came alive herds of Cape elands, zebras, giraffes, impalas, ostriches, and a few wildebeest roamed freely, offering guests a breathtaking glimpse of the Serengeti’s wild heart. A beautiful morning flight with low clouds drifting over Tarangire Hill set the scene. Guests enjoyed sweeping views and rich wildlife sightings, including zebras, waterbucks, elephants, giraffes, and even an ostrich nest with ten eggs. We landed gently near Tarangire Hill, upright and smooth, followed by a joyful breakfast that left everyone smiling. A truly memorable start to the day.

We began our flight in Tarangire just before sunrise, with gentle skies and a light morning shower adding a touch of magic. Balloons soared high for the first stretch, then descended gracefully near the river. Guests were treated to incredible sightings buffalo, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, ostriches, elands, impalas, vultures, guinea hens, and four lionesses resting nearby. With no wind, we landed softly and upright in a quiet clearing. Guests were delighted by the experience and shared warm praise for the flight, the views, and the breakfast.
