Our flight began with a gentle southeast ascent, slowly revealing the beauty of the Ruaha River below. As we climbed to 1,000 feet and turned southwest, the views became truly breathtaking. We glided through varying altitudes, soaking in the serenity of the wild, before landing smoothly near our breakfast spot. Along the way, nature welcomed us with unforgettable sights: elephants, four lions (Simba), impalas, giraffes, zebras, hippos, warthogs, monkeys, vultures, Grant’s gazelles, and jackals. It was a journey filled with wonder one that reminded us how magical the skies over Ruaha can be.

Another amazing flight unfolded this morning as we made our way to the breakfast area. With calm winds and a perfectly timed takeoff, our balloon climbed steadily and cruised smoothly at higher altitudes. During the flight, guests enjoyed sightings of elephants, impalas, bushbucks, Grant’s gazelles, foxes, and a variety of birdlife including vultures. The views were spectacular, and the wildlife encounters added a touch of magic to the journey. We landed gently with just 1 knot of wind, and our passengers were all smiles. The morning concluded with our signature bush breakfast, served with warmth and care an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Serengeti.

Our balloon flight today in Ruaha was another heartwarming experience. We took off just after sunrise and floated north for about 20 minutes before climbing to 900 feet, guided gently southward by a 6-knot breeze. The journey offered serene views and delightful wildlife sightings, including elephants, giraffes, ostriches, hippos, impalas, warthogs, zebras, and a ground hornbill. We landed close to the breakfast site with a smooth descent, and all our guests were genuinely happy with the experience a beautiful morning shared with nature and smiles.

Our balloons soared gracefully all the way to R-22, near the scenic Hondohondo picnic site. The landscape came alive beneath us, offering peaceful moments and breathtaking views. With a gentle breeze guiding us, we enjoyed a soft and steady landing. A final pass over the river revealed hippos lounging in the last big pool, a perfect farewell to the wildlife below.
