Our balloon flight today in Ndutu was simply lovely. We lifted off just as the sun was rising, with guests immediately treated to the sight of wildebeest, zebras, Grant’s gazelles, and Thompson’s gazelles right before them. Flying low over the migration, we then climbed and turned towards the forest, where our first tower of giraffes appeared. Over the forest, guests enjoyed more migration herds, additional towers of giraffes, and several groups of impalas. Crossing the marshes towards the plains of Kusini, we followed the korongo with more migration along its banks. Just before landing, we ascended briefly and descended near a cheetah. The flight concluded with a smooth drag stand-up landing on the plains, surrounded by the migration. On the way to breakfast, guests were delighted to see the same cheetah enjoying its own breakfast of a Thompson’s gazelle. Animal Highlights: Zebra, Wildebeest, Thompson’s Gazelle, Grant’s Gazelle, Vulture, Giraffe, Impala, Cheetah, Jackal, Bat-Eared Fox, Hyena, Tawny Eagle, Marabou Stork, and Flamingo.
