This morning in Seronera, under soft overcast skies and a brisk breeze, three balloons gracefully lifted off for an unforgettable journey. Drifting over the vast plains toward Valley 16 and into the scenic Sopa Valley, each balloon made a smooth stand-up landing, adding to the serenity of the experience. Wildlife sightings were scattered but rewarding. Guests spotted ostriches, gazelles, Cokes hartebeest, hyenas, warthogs, and a variety of bird species. A herd of Cape buffalo, zebras, elephants, a rare serval cat, and a pride of lions added excitement to the flight. Our guests were thrilled by the adventure and left with hearts full of joy. This morning began with overcast skies and a timely arrival of our guests, allowing all balloons to lift off smoothly and on schedule. We drifted gracefully along the Mara River, offering stunning views of hippos, crocodiles, Egyptian geese, and wildebeest carcasses a powerful reminder of the wild’s rhythm. At the Oxbow, the landscape came alive with elephants, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elands, topis, and hyenas. As we approached Sayari, the migration revealed its magic: large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and elands stretched toward the Mara Mara road, with impalas appearing in impressive numbers. After gentle stand-up landings, guests were welcomed with our signature champagne toast and a beautifully prepared bush breakfast. We had a magnificent flight over Tarangire just before sunrise, gently drifting toward the iconic Elephant Rock. The lower altitude was smoky due to a nearby fire at the launch site, prompting us to ascend for clearer skies and breathtaking panoramic views an adjustment that thrilled all our guests. Wildlife sightings were abundant. We spotted large herds of buffaloes, elephants, elands, giraffes, and impalas. A special moment was flying directly over an ostrich nest, where we observed several healthy eggs. Our landing was smooth and upright near the Ndovu signboard, marking a graceful end to an unforgettable journey. Guests were delighted throughout the experience and thoroughly enjoyed the signature Serengeti Balloon Safaris breakfast that followed. An overcast morning provided a welcome delay for late-arriving drivers, allowing for a relaxed start to our adventure. Once airborne, we descended and followed the winding Mara River, offering guests stunning views of hippos, crocodiles, Egyptian geese, and wildebeest carcasses powerful reminders of nature’s cycle. As we passed the Oxbow bend, sightings included warthogs, impalas, wildebeest, and a group of hyenas. Approaching Sayari, we encountered a larger concentration of migrating wildebeest, accompanied by zebras and a few elands. These herds extended all the way to the Mara Mara road. Impalas appeared in impressive numbers, and a beautiful elephant herd was spotted near the breakfast site. After a smooth and upright landing, guests enjoyed the traditional champagne toast followed by a beautifully presented breakfast of the highest standard. Our balloon flight today in Seronera began with a dramatic twist. We arrived at the launch site under pouring rain, with shifting winds and waterlogged balloons. Despite the challenging conditions, our dedicated crew worked tirelessly to inflate the balloons slowly without passengers, allowing them to stand and dry. Just before 7am, we launched, and the morning transformed into something truly magical. As we ascended, a breathtaking scene unfolded below. A vast herd of buffalo stretched across the horizon, flanked by two magnificent male lions with striking dark manes. Flying south-west, we witnessed hyenas chasing gazelle, a male lion stalking Topi, and a lioness guarding a fresh kill. The highlight of the flight was a rare sighting of a mother rhino and her calf, peacefully roaming the open plains an unforgettable moment shared by all. After a gentle stand-up landing, guests enjoyed the traditional champagne toast followed by a beautifully presented breakfast. What began as a challenging morning turned into a spectacular safari experience, filled with awe, wonder, and joy.

We lifted off at sunrise over Tarangire, drifting gently toward Silale Swamp before climbing to 1800 feet AGL. A slow but scenic path led us toward Sopa Lodge, offering breathtaking panoramic views that our guests adored. Descending near Sopa, we spotted zebras, impalas, elands, wildebeest, hyenas, secretary birds, and vultures wildlife at its finest. We touched down softly near Pure Tented Camp, upright and smooth. Our balloon flight in Tarangire began with a smooth takeoff under a golden sunrise. Winds were tricky, guiding us low to the east and southeast at 1500 feet MGL. We floated for 71 peaceful minutes before landing gently between the river and the new camp an intimate, bushy spot made perfect by calm winds. Wildlife sightings included elephants, zebras, jackals, impalas, giraffes, and a rare Janet cat. Guests were thrilled by the adventure and the serene landing, making it another unforgettable morning with Serengeti Balloon Safaris.

A beautiful morning in Kogatende greeted our guests with a timely takeoff and a breathtaking sunrise. We followed the Mara River, spotting hippos, crocodiles, hyenas, impalas, guinea fowl, and Egyptian geese along the banks. The highlight was four lionesses resting near a fresh kill, while hyenas and vultures cleaned up nearby. As we floated on, we enjoyed sightings of zebras, elephants, giraffes, topis, elands, and large herds of migrating wildebeest. The morning offered excellent game viewing, with sightings of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, hippos, lions, ostriches, lilac-breasted rollers, and a vibrant variety of birdlife.
