"What an experience!"
This was our first time going in a hot air ballon and it was amazing! The basket is much larger than I imagined. We had 10 guests in the ballon plus the pilot himself. The ride was about an hour and it’s so neat to see the animals from that viewpoint. When we landed there was a delicious breakfast and champagne waiting for us. Would love to do this again and again!

"Well-Worth the Expense"
We first discounted the opportunity for a balloon ride over the Serengeti, due to the expense and a less-than-interesting balloon ride in South Africa. My wife however surprised me for a New Year's Day balloon ride for my birthday. I'll admit I was excited from the very beginning and that excitement continued for the remainder of our safari experieince. We were picked up form our tent and driven about an hour to the balloon launching site. We were treated with one of the most beautiful sunrises ever! During the sunrise we received our briefing from Captain Frank Bellantoni. Not only a very decent human being, Frank was nothing short of exceptional in providing us with an experience never to be forgotten. We skimmed the earth and we climbed to maybe 250-300 feet. We saw animals and the beauty of the Serengeti from a perspective not seen by everyone. The launch was smooth and absolutely beautiful. Everyone in the basket were mezmerized by the view we had.
