This morning’s balloon flight over Lamai was a serene and awe-inspiring experience, with mostly cloudy skies, gentle winds, and a softly veiled sunrise setting the tone for a magical journey westward across the plains. From lofty heights to low-level glides, guests enjoyed breathtaking views and a smooth landing near Sanctuary Lodge. Wildlife was abundant throughout the flight migrating herds, Gazelles, Topi, Reedbuck, Warthogs, soaring Vultures and Eagles, Hyenas on a fresh kill, elegant Giraffes, a striking male Lion, and numerous Elephants and Cape Buffaloes all contributing to an unforgettable morning immersed in nature’s beauty.

We had a fantastic flight in Lamai today under perfect flying conditions. Though our two guests left Singita a bit late, the balloon lifted just as the sun rose, casting golden light over the plains. Drifting southwest toward the Mara River, we were treated to breathtaking views and abundant wildlife. The flight path offered sightings of large migration herds, giraffes, elephants, buffalos, ostriches, mongoose, hippos, hartebeest, topis, hyenas, eagles, vultures, warthogs, waterbucks, elands, gazelles, and impala. After a smooth stand-up landing near Legendary Camp, guests enjoyed a delightful bush breakfast and shared their joy already booking another private balloon flight in Sasakwa on the 19th.

We arrived to clear skies and gusty winds at the old border launch site. The single balloon launched smoothly and uneventfully. Winds carried us west towards the Main Road before turning south after passing west of the Main Road where we had a smooth, uneventful, tipover landing along the main road. We had sightings of Lions, WaterbuckWildebeest, Thompson Gazelle, Giraffe, Topi, Zebra, Vultures, Hyena, Elephants, Eagles, Guinea Fowl, Blue Heron, and African Hare. Guests were served a delicious breakfast at our usual breakfast spot. All guests were complimentary of the flight, breakfast, service and were thrilled to be flying with SBS on this beautiful day full of sightings

Under soft morning clouds and a whisper of wind, our balloons lifted gently into the Serengeti sky. The plains came alive beneath us elephants, giraffes, waterbuck, impala, topi, and endless waves of wildebeest and zebra. A remarkable sighting of hyenas on a fresh kill added to the thrill. After a serene flight, we touched down smoothly by the river, with smiles all around. A truly unforgettable journey.

This morning’s flight from the Kenya Border launch site began under clear skies and light winds ideal conditions for a smooth takeoff. Winds carried us gently north and west, offering stunning aerial views of wildebeest, zebra, hyena, and ostrich. We reached maximum altitude over the plains, gliding above large herds of wildebeest before making a soft, stand-up landing near our breakfast site. Wildlife sightings were plentiful and memorable, including Thompson gazelles, topi, vultures, and a marabou stork. Guests enjoyed a delicious bush breakfast and were full of praise for the flight, service, and overall experience. It was a truly special morning, and we’re grateful to share these moments with your travelers.

We launched under clear skies and gentle winds, drifting north and west across the plains. The flight offered stunning aerial views of wildebeest, zebra, hyena, ostrich, and large herds below as we reached maximum altitude. Additional sightings included Thompson Gazelle, Topi, Vultures, and a graceful Marion Stork. We landed smoothly near our breakfast site, where guests enjoyed a delicious meal in the bush. Spirits were high everyone was thrilled by the sightings, the serene flight, and the warm SBS hospitality. A truly beautiful morning in the Serengeti.

This morning in Lamai began with a soft breeze at the launch site, which settled beautifully during inflation, allowing for a smooth and graceful takeoff. On board were two guests accompanied by their safari guide, Nima recently named Safari Guide of the Year. The wildlife was abundant and captivating: large herds of wildebeest still lingered north of the river, joined by hyenas, giraffes, elephants, zebras, and a flurry of scavenger birds. A rare and special highlight two elusive serval cats spotted in the grasslands. After an hour of serene flight, we landed further north than ever before, beyond the airstrip road. Though the crew took a little extra time to locate us, the guests remained relaxed and joyful throughout. A peaceful, wildlife-rich journey that left our guests deeply grateful and full of wonder just another unforgettable morning with Serengeti Balloon Safaris.

This morning in Lamai, our balloon lifted gently into the sky just before sunrise, painting the plains in golden light. We drifted toward the Lamai Wedge, with sweeping views of the Serengeti and Mara unfolding beneath us. Wildlife was everywhere topis, wildebeest, zebra, giraffes, jackals, hyenas, gazelles, and even vultures circling fresh kills. Eagles soared overhead, and we spotted buffalo, warthogs, and hartebeest along the way. After a smooth tip-over landing near Kichakani, guests enjoyed a peaceful breakfast and shared smiles all around. The flight, the sightings, and the seamless operation made for a truly magical morning.

Clear skies and gentle winds set the stage for a beautiful flight, with stunning views of elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, zebra, and more. Guests enjoyed a smooth tip-over landing and were all smiles. Afterward, we gathered for our signature bush breakfast fresh, plentiful, and full of warmth. With champagne flowing and the savannah all around, it was the perfect ending to a magical morning.
