"Great Experience!"

Our group had a great time with SBS! We were not sure if we would be able to fly on account of rain in the area, but our pilot, Bob, was patient and after a bit of waiting we were in the air. The views were stunning and Bob made sure to rotate the basket so everyone got a chance to see from the “front.” We saw the migration, saw hyenas from close enough to hear them laughing, and even saw flamingos and hippos. The champagne toast after was a nice touch, and the “bush breakfast” was great as well.

"Wonders of Serengeti from the heights of our Hot Air Balloon"

Wake up early, and quite 1h of drive to the take off location. Totally worth it! When leaving our lodge (serengeti tortillis camp) we saw the lion that we heard all night long crossing the road right in front of us. Our pilot a portuguese ex militar was very friendly, who was explaining loads of stories and passing over his experience to the 16 people on board that day. If you are scared of heights, it is ok! Just don't stop yourself of living this amazing experience. For some reason I convienced my husband to jump on the balloon and he still says it was the highlight of our honeymoon.

"Highlight of the trip"

Waking up at 4am is never easy but boy was it worth it!!! This was a once in a lifetime experience and highly recommend it to anyone doing Safari trips. You get to see the endless plains of the Serengeti from a totally different perspective and only then could you understand the term “endless”. Seeing the crew inflate the balloon is an experience in itself. Our pilot was very interactive and gave us low flying encounters with many animals. I’m not a fan of heights, but this was a very stable flight and any fear I had quickly vanished. After an hour or so of flying, we were treated with champagne as per tradition and later an amazing breakfast under the shade of a typical Acacia Tree surrounded by wildlife and nothing but peace. What else could you ask for??

"Once in a lifetime...."

My family of 5 just completed a safari which included your balloon excursion. Let me just say it was INCREDIBLE! Prior to leaving the states I had “convinced” 2 of my boys to take this adventure with me (being my 50th birthday bucket list)....when we arrived at the hotel my husband and other son had come around and wanted to experience this with us. Luckily there was one spot and one last minute cancellation! From start to finish the SBS did a top notch job. Short wait for take off...Captain Frank was great....the peaceful cruise through the Serengeti with many animal sightings....exciting drag landing (on purpose of course) had us all laughing....champagne toast and stories... and of course the delicious and extravagant breakfast with amazing views. I am so happy I was able to experience this with my whole family. I highly recommend SBS for their professionalism and of course for the entire experience I truly will never forget. It was a top highlight of our trip! (Also, worth every penny!). Thank you SBS!

"Wake up early?!"

Incredible!!! Waking up early for this is worth it because the sun rise is breath taking. During The end of December when we went the zebras and wildebeest were everywhere! 10/10 recommended and thanks to Pilot Abeid soka my mother got over her fear of heights ( at least for the next 30 minutes.)

"Don’t miss this great experience"

Is a 4:00am wake up call worth it? Yes it is! We are a family of three with our 13yr old daughter and we really enjoyed the experience and professionalism of the company. The pilot was British and explained all the safety features, how to handle ourselves during the flight etc. Not once did we felt unsafe or scared. This is so peaceful and quiet. The amazing English breakfast with champagne after the flight with a history lesson is very nice. Thanks again to everyone for this special experience!

"Wonderful balloon ride"

Serengeti Balloon Safaris did a great job. Abeid was our pilot, humorous and knowledgeable. From take off to landing everything went smoothly. I was amazed that he had the ability to move this massive balloon forward only about one foot off the ground (or so it looked from inside the balloon; this was done to get the balloon closer to the pickup jeep and road since things were pretty muddy). It was wonderful with a great champagne breakfast served a short distance from the landing site, as the sun came up on the day.
