"Hot air balloon ride"

Wonderfully exciting, peaceful and amazing hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti, watching the Great Migration of thousands of wildebeests and zebras continue their journey! The pilot was an amazing professional, highly skilled, knew all about the animals and their habitat, and the ride was fantastic! The breakfast afterwards was in the middle of the Serengeti, white table cloth and all, a professional chef cooked a hot breakfast and we all had lots of laughs and wonderful memories to bring home! Highly recommend this company!

"Amazing experience"

Amazing time! We saw so many animals in the air and on our drive to the ballon in the morning. Our pilot, Mohammed, was very knowledgeable and funny! He made us feel comfortable and all the staff were great!

"Incredible Must-Do Experience"

This was our first time in a hot air balloon, and what a incredible Must-Do experience safari while in Tanzania. Captain Zumo and crew were top notch from start to finish. Safari game drives are amazing, but one must add a balloon safari. Serengeti Balloon Safaris will pick you up very early from your lodge to take you to the launch site in order to see the sunrise as you ascend in the balloon. The balloon ride is smooth, relaxing, and not scary at all. Captain Zumo has a great eye for pointing out all the wildlife, which was fantastic to see from above. After the fabulous fun balloon ride, we celebrated with a delicious "Serengeti Sunrise" (champagne & mango juice). Then, driven to another location for a wonderful English breakfast with champagne. Be sure to bring cash for some great souvenirs. My only wish is that the ground crew had been able to a photo of us while in the air of the whole balloon. Thankfully, Captain Zumo took a selfie of us while in the air!

"21-9-2020"

This was a top experience . Exactly right on time , on the minute at sunrise “ the balloon was lifted up. 5 meters above the treetops for most of the time so you could get a clear view of the wildlife below. 4 lions and a cheetah were our “ trophy’s “. what a skill from the pilot . We were picked up in our camp by Steven .. he deserves an extra point . After we landed he brought us as an extra to the place where we found the cheetah ( it was near our landing site). After a really good breakfast we departed happy and satisfied. This organisation is highly recommendable

"IMMACULATE!!!! no words are fit to describe what you feel on the ride. Its a MUST DO!"

My family gifted me with a voucher from Serengeti Balloon for my big 30! I was super excited and couldn't wait to do it. We were in the North Serengeti to see the famous Migration of the Serengeti, we arranged with Serengeti to do the balloon ride during one of the days we were there. They were very patient and professional and finally the good news came that we will fly on the morning of the 22nd August 2020. Both my husband and myself were looking forward. Finally came the lucky morning, we were taken to the launch site en route we got to experience a night game drive, Modest who was our driver guide showed us hippos and lions on the way, which was an adventure on its own. One we will cherish forever! Finally arrived at the launch site, amazed to realize the famous Mara river was just there. Modest introduced us to our pilot Abeid. After the briefing we took off, our pilot gradually moving with the wind and directing us over the river so we could also watch the migration from high up there, I cant even describe that feeling, you got to do it to realize what we felt. It was beyond words can describe!!! Our pilot then spotted a lioness sitting on top of a rock and thereafter came several hyenas who chased her away. That was a sight too. Spotting on the balloon was one of a kind. Abeid was very experienced and knowledgeable. At the end of our ride, we landed and were welcomed with champagne to celebrate. Then we were taken for bush breakfast, OMG this was spectacular, I mean everything is there to make you feel as comfortable as possible, even a toilet with a view, so much detail, hot water to wash your hands. Of course most important the English breakfast which was much needed by this point as we were starving from starting early. After breakfast we just did not feel like leaving as this site had become so cozy and comfortable. We had to remind ourselves we were heading towards to Lamai sides and we needed to make a move as this is quite a distance. We promised ourselves we shall return to experience this again. I would highly recommend to all travelers visiting Tanzania to do the balloon ride with SERENGETI BALLOON, it is a must do while you are on safari. Then only is your experience complete! My husband and myself would personally like to thank John, Modest, Abeid and the entire cooking and serving team without whom this would not have been amazing. They were all very professional, humble and hospitable. ASANTE SANA and we shall be back soon!!!!

"Serenity at its best"

We did the Balloon Safari last Sunday and the ride was simply magnificent. Watching the sunrise with its rays creating magical colours in the water of the Mara River was an awesome experience. The pleasant chirping of birds in the Serengeti sky made the ride even more tranquil. We sailed over tree-tops and saw many animals from the balloon. The highlight was flying over the Mara River which houses many crocodiles and hippos. Due to the sound of the balloon many hippos ran away from the path of the balloon giving us a spectacle to watch (normally hippos are lazy and barely move). We also saw many swimming crocodiles. Our Captain, Abeid Soka steered the balloon so well that we never wanted the ride to end. Abeid is a Tanzanian who qualified to steer hot air balloons in California, USA. The English breakfast after the ride under an Acacia tree was a perfect way to end the morning experience. The Serengeti Balloon Safaris team was professional, friendly and helpful. I do recommend this ride to one and all. Children under 7 Years are not allowed on this ride. Munir D.

"beautiful!"

The baloon was really a magical expereince. We sailed over the tops of the trees, and just above the river and saw hippo, elpehant, and lion. The team were so safe and lovely, really going the extra mile to help us. We saw a mother lion and cubs from the air and they took the time to drive us to see them in the car afterwards.
